Camelia sinensis is a hardy evergreen shrub that is probably the most widely grown Camellia in the world traditionally used for caffeinated teas. They are harvested as the leaves emerge beginning in early spring and processed in different ways to create white, green, oolong, and black teas.

Care Instructions
Place your tea plants in a location that will receive full to partial sun. These plants require well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Water plants frequently during the first two years – generally 2 or 3 times per week during the summer. Allow the soil to dry slightly between watering's.
The plant is drought-tolerant once established and is more cold-hardy than other Camellia spp.

The plants arrived in good health. They are in plastic bags inside a pot so I’m not sure if this is for shipping or humidity purposes. The tag on the plant tells how to make tea instead of how to take care of this plant. I am not going to be able to put it in the ground for a few more months so some direction on what type of soil & environment it needs to thrive would have been nice. Thankfully I have the internet, I just hope I find accurate & helpful information.
