Aquashade Aquatic Plant Growth Control
Aquashade contains a blend of blue and yellow dyes designed to absorb specific wavelengths of light critical to plant photosynthesis. Treated water will retain a light aqua-blue tint following application. For best results, apply Aquashade as a pre-emergent (prior to plant germination) before the growing season. For use in natural and manmade contained lakes and ponds (ornamental, recreational, fish bearing & fish farming bodies) with little or no outflow of water.
Aquashade controls:
- Leafy pondweed
- Chara
- Slender naiad
- Watermilfoil
- Hydrilla
- Filamentous green algae
- Filamentous bluegreen algae
Active ingredients:
12.6% Acid Blue 9*
1.04% Acid Yellow 23**
Contains 1.11 lbs. of Erioglaucine* and 0.09 lbs. of Tartrazine** as Pure Dye Content per gallon.
Recommended rate of application: 0.5-2 ppm (0.6-2.4 oz. per 10,000 gallons). Use lower rates for early suppression and algae growing more than two feet below the surface; for shallow water or when growth is within 2 feet of surface, use higher rates.
