Blackhawk Arrowleaf Clover was developed by Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Overton for resistance to the fungal soil pathogen Pythium ultimum and to bean yellow mosaic virus, which is an advantage over the other Arrowleaf Clover varieties. The name comes from the appearance of the seeds, which are 95% black with only slight color variations.
