IT WORKED!
Purchased a 25lb bag of Talstar PL granules from seedworld with the hopes of killing fire ants and spiders in south Louisiana. First, let me say, after extensive research on the internet, seedworld offers the absolute cheapest price on this particular Talstar insecticide and many other pest-controlling items. It took only three days for me to receive the 25lb bag of Talstar PL granules which was two days before the expected delivery date. The granules were packed professionally and securely. The following day I hand distributed the granules on my entire lawn (both front and back) using a plastic container that I altered for easy and even spreading by hand. For the two fire ant mounds-I focused more-so around the mound as to force the ants inward. During all of this I made sure to follow the manufacturers label on how to use the insecticide properly for residential lawns. Next day, POOF! Gone! No more ants! Spiders, gone. It was such a huge relief to see such an obvious difference that the Talstar PL granules made for my lawn. As for the two mounds, they were covered in dead fire ants with no sign of any ant life in sight. The only downside side to this is the fact that in less than three months the fire ants were back and in full force. I purchased another bag, followed same steps of treating my lawn as the previous time, and results were the same. Fire ants GONE! I would definitely recommend Talstar PL granules insecticide to those looking for a way to get rid of fire ants especially if you live in the south or in Louisiana. I wish the overall effectiveness would last longer, but it did what it said it would do.
