Pramitol 5PS is a pelleted, bare ground herbicide that can control Johnson grass and bindweed. Pramitol is intended to prevent all plant growth for a year or more when applied to soil and can be used as a pre- or post-emergent herbicide in non-crop areas. 25 pounds treats 7,125 square feet.

This material works pretty well to keep weeds and grasses out of gravel driveway. They seem to work for about 8 months but are fairly expensive to use and too coarse to go through some spreaders smoothly.
